These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sod Installation Dallas website at sodinstallationdallas.com and any sod delivery or installation services provided by Sod Installation Dallas (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting a quote, scheduling service, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Services We Provide
Sod Installation Dallas provides fresh-cut sod delivery and professional sod installation services to residential, commercial, and new construction customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Services may include:
- On-site measurement and written estimates
- Sod delivery from regional farms
- Full installation including grading, laying sod, and jobsite cleanup
- Delivery-only orders for customer self-installation
- Lawn renovation, re-sodding, and new construction lot finishing
Specific scope of work for your project will be described in your written quote or service agreement.
2. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates are based on information you provide and, when applicable, on-site measurements of square footage, soil conditions, access, and prep requirements. Final pricing depends on:
- Actual measured square footage (including waste factor for cuts and curves)
- Selected grass variety (Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine, etc.)
- Site preparation needed (removal of old turf, grading, topsoil, irrigation repairs)
- Property access for delivery trucks and crew equipment
Verbal estimates and website calculator results are approximations only. A binding price is provided after measurement or written confirmation. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if site conditions differ materially from what was described or visible during the initial quote.
On-site measurement visits may require a fee (currently $149), which is credited toward your project when you book installation, as stated on our website at the time of booking.
3. Scheduling, Delivery, and Property Access
Sod is a perishable, living product. Delivery and installation dates are scheduled based on weather, farm harvest availability, and crew capacity. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed dates but are not liable for delays caused by weather, farm supply, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.
You agree to:
- Provide safe and clear access to the work area for crews and delivery vehicles
- Mark irrigation heads, utilities, and obstacles before work begins
- Ensure pets and children are kept away from active work zones
- Authorize work on the property or obtain permission from the property owner
If our crew arrives and cannot access the site, or if the area is not prepared as agreed, a return-trip or rescheduling fee may apply.
4. Site Preparation and Customer Responsibilities
Proper soil preparation is critical to sod establishment. Unless your quote specifically includes prep work, you are responsible for having the area graded, cleared of debris, and ready for sod at the scheduled time. If we are hired to perform prep, scope is limited to what is listed in your written quote.
After installation, you are responsible for watering, mowing, fertilization, pest control, and ongoing lawn maintenance according to the care instructions we provide. Failure to water new sod adequately — especially during Dallas summer heat — may result in loss of grass and is not covered under any warranty.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be stated on your invoice or service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A deposit may be required to reserve sod harvest and crew scheduling
- Remaining balance is due upon completion of delivery or installation
- We accept payment methods communicated at the time of booking
- Late or returned payments may incur fees and collection action as permitted by law
Prices quoted include labor and materials specified in the scope. Additional work requested on-site that falls outside the agreed scope may be billed separately with your approval.
6. Sod Quality and Living Product Disclaimer
Sod is a natural, living product. Color, blade texture, and thickness may vary slightly between pallets and harvest batches. We source fresh-cut sod from reputable regional growers and inspect material before delivery. Once sod is delivered, laid, or accepted on your property, its survival depends on proper watering, weather, soil conditions, and ongoing care.
We do not guarantee specific aesthetic results, growth rates, or freedom from weeds, fungus, or pests after the establishment period. Lawn health after install is a shared responsibility between proper installation and your maintenance practices.
7. Limited Warranty
If we provide a workmanship warranty, it will be stated in writing on your invoice or service agreement. Any warranty covers installation workmanship only — not neglect, drought stress, over-watering, disease, pet damage, mower scalping, chemical burn, or failure to follow watering instructions.
Warranty claims must be reported promptly with photos and description of the issue. We reserve the right to inspect the property before approving replacement sod or corrective work. Warranty remedies, if applicable, are limited to re-installation of affected areas at our discretion and do not include consequential damages.
8. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible. Because sod is ordered from farms in advance:
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may forfeit deposits or incur restocking fees
- Weather-related reschedules initiated by us will be offered the next available date at no penalty to you
- Repeated cancellations may require full prepayment for future bookings
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Sod Installation Dallas shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services or your use of this website. Our total liability for any claim related to a specific job shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that job.
We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities, irrigation lines, or landscaping features that were not clearly marked or disclosed before work began, except where caused by our gross negligence.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sod Installation Dallas, its owners, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the website, inaccurate information you provide, unauthorized orders placed on property you do not own or control, or violation of these Terms.
11. Website Use and Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and layout — is owned by Sod Installation Dallas or used with permission. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, or republish site content for commercial purposes without written consent.

12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing a formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
